Some of the many things that are going on in Danby
Worship is at the heart of everything we do.
We normally meet on a Sunday morning starting at 10:30. The service usually lasts for about one hour and is always followed with refreshments in the church.
We have a newly formed Music Group and use the new Methodist hymn book (Singing The Faith), but we also have Mission Praise and the old Hymns and Psalms readily available. The Music Group play in a Celtic/Folky style which suits our rural location.
Although we often use the traditional hymn sandwich we are also starting to experiment with alternative worship forms. Recently we have had a café style service, a pets and nature service and a Taizé style service.
The Methodist Church is an inclusive church, everybody is welcome regardless of age, gender, ethnicity, sexuality or disability. Our congregation often includes members of the supported living community at Botton Village. An audio loop is also available.
Dogs on leads are very welcome at all our services.
We will always pray for anybody who wants us to.
You don’t have to live in Danby or have any association with the church at all. Please contact us for more information.
Prayer requests are sent to our Lay Pastor, Paul Wells. Any information will be treated in the greatest confidence. You can see our confidentiality guidelines by following this link.
Danby Methodist Church is an essential part of the local community and we welcome the opportunity to share these life events with local residents.
However, we equally welcome the chance to share in these important moments with everyone who thinks that the Chapel has an important place in their hearts. We are licenced for weddings, including same sex.
If you are searching online for our registration details you should search for Danby End Methodist Church, Danby, North Yorkshire.
